Search engine optimisation (SEO)
Even the best website is useless if it cannot be found.
Professional SEO consulting in Würzburg, the region and Worldwide
Since starting my e-commerce studies at THWS in October 2016, I have been working intensively on search engine optimisation, or SEO for short, and now I am making all this knowledge available to you!
This pool of knowledge includes, among other things, the online marketing lecture and the web management specialisation course by Prof. Dr. Mario Fischer, online marketing seminars by Karl Kratz, the ‘SEO in Practice’ events by Kai Spriestersbach and Leonard Metzner, and the ‘Online Marketing in Practice’ seminar at the Technical University of Würzburg-Schweinfurt. All of them are top-class online marketing and SEO experts.
In hands-on projects, e.g. at Google, Würth, Warner Music and in the THWS laboratory, I was able to supplement my theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
Bring your website to the top with the SEO package
This includes a detailed SEO analysis of all important landing pages of your domain and, in the case of a shop, the identification of the products with the most potential. This is followed by the development of an SEO strategy tailored specifically to your needs, as well as in-depth consulting to implement this strategy. Depending on your preference, this can be done either by telephone or face to face if you are located in Würzburg or the surrounding area. This includes an on-page, off-page and competitor analysis.
How are the strongest competitors performing? How can the internal link structure be optimised so that the right and important landing pages rank and are not affected by the less important ones? Are there external links that give the site a bad reputation and reduce trust? Are there potential sites with a good reputation from which you could request backlinks to increase the trust of your own page? Does it make more sense to focus on a specific region rather than trying to address the whole of the country or the whole world?
The SEO package in detail:
On-page analysis – increase website traffic
Did you know that 40% of internet users won't wait more than 3 seconds for a website to load? On-page analysis not only improves ranking and visibility, but also user-friendliness, aka usability. This includes optimising website loading times and code cleanliness, as well as the title and meta description, which are often the final deciding factors for clicking on a website. The cleaner and more descriptive the code, the easier it is for the Google crawler to read the website and the higher it ranks it. This applies, for example, to alt tags, anchor texts and Hx headings. Furthermore, on-page analysis involves ensuring keyword density and high-quality content that matches the searcher's intention.
Off-page analysis – gaining Google's trust
This mainly concerns outgoing and incoming links. Which websites link to our domain with which keywords? Which websites do we link to? Google assigns a trust value to each page. This indicates how credible the website is considered to be. The trust value is passed on to linked pages. So if your website is cited by a very trustworthy site, your trust value will also increase and your ranking will improve. Dead links and links from and to dubious sites damage your ranking because they reduce trust. Trust is not only generated via referencing websites, but also via social media shares. The same principle applies here!
Competitor analysis – leave your competitors behind
We identify your most important competitors and examine them closely. Which keywords do they rank for? What are their weaknesses that can be utilised to lower their ranking in search results? What do they do so well that it is worth emulating? Unfortunately, few companies have SEO experts these days. However, it is immediately apparent when a company employs a professional SEO or an SEO agency. The search results are then usually dominated by this company. Normally, an SEO specialist or agency is very expensive, which means that only large companies can afford them. I have made it my mission to offer these services at a reasonable price that small and medium-sized companies can also afford, as they benefit particularly from e-commerce.
What is the price of search engine optimisation?
The price of the SEO package varies depending on the size and complexity of the website. The cost of a website that functions purely as a business card with a home page and approx. 5 subpages cannot, of course, be compared to that of a complex web shop with several hundred items.
